Today, Sept 15, 2009, also my 27th birthday we also had a scheduled ultrasound at 12pm. Knowing that it was just a routine ultrasound to get another measurement check to see where my progress was I was a little apprehensive that something might or could be wrong but on the flip side of the coin, I knew that nothing was wrong and my emotions were hyperactive and that today could be a really really fun day.
Sean and I arrived, checked in and waited our turn. Just a few minutes later we get called back. Guess what? It was the lady who did my very first ultrasound for the miscarriage and in the same room. I moved those emotions aside and focused on the positive and boy was I glad that I did.
After a few seconds of moving the wand around, long behold we have baby Plunkett!!! A distinct head, arms and legs. Guess what the best part was, baby Plunkett was giving us a show of how he (don't know the sex yet but feeling like it might be a he) he would give us a good wave and show us his arm and hand. :) It was amazing!!
I asked our tech if we could have a picture to show the crowd and she agreed. With our pictures in hand we walked out of the ultrasound place and told Sean "This is my best bday ever!" Seeing little Plunkett made everything so much more real!
We have decided that since things look good we would go through with telling the family.
Family here we come!
